I am Scott D. Pomfret. I'm the co-author of Romentics--romance novels for gay men. Warner Books published a Romentics novel "Hot Sauce" in June, 2005. • Legal Career: I am an enforcement attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in its Boston District Office. That means I investigate securities fraud and sometimes put the fraudsters in jail. Prior to joining the SEC, Pomfret was a litigation associate at Ropes & Gray LP. While at Ropes, I was a "cooperating attorney" with Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) in a case challenging the constitutionality of the Massachusetts anti-sodomy laws.
• Family: I live in Boston, Massachusetts with my boyfriend Scott Whittier. I have two brothers and a sister, and three godchildren: Alex, Rue, and Mikaela.
• Religion: I'm a (more or less) good Catholic boy, a lector at St. Anthony Shrine in Boston, Massachusetts, and a member of the Shrine's Worship Advisory Board and its Gay-Lesbian Spirituality Group.
